01
What is required?
The standards, regulations, and obligations that actually apply to the domain in question — not what a template assumes.
The Entry-Point Review
A focused assessment that surfaces operational exposure and weak evidence — before it becomes consequence.
Identify. Trace. Correct.
What Is An RSA?
A Risk Signal Assessment gives healthcare organizations a clear, fast, and defensible read on risk — without committing to a broad consulting engagement first.
Petronus examines the requirements, controls, and evidence most likely to expose an organization under survey, regulatory, or operational scrutiny. What comes back isn't a generic checklist. It is a precise read on three things: where the risk is visible, where the proof is thin, and where correction or deeper review is warranted.
A read you can act on — and defend.
Core Operating Question
Every assessment answers it. What is required, what is controlled, and what can be proven.
01
The standards, regulations, and obligations that actually apply to the domain in question — not what a template assumes.
02
Whether the practices meant to satisfy those obligations are real, current, and operating — not merely documented somewhere.
03
Whether the evidence would hold up the day someone asks for it. A control no one can demonstrate is, under scrutiny, no control at all.
How It Works
A structured review across requirement, control, and evidence. The method is visible. The mechanics stay protected.
Petronus reviews targeted records, program materials, evidence samples, and operating conditions across the practice domains.
Petronus evaluates whether the available evidence supports the organization’s position and identifies where risk is forming.
Each finding carries a clear recommendation. Correct it now, monitor it, or escalate to a full domain review.
Leadership Delivery
One document, structured for decision-making rather than reading — and built to survive scrutiny.

Where It Applies
Across the reviewed domains, Petronus identifies where requirement, control, and proof begin to separate. The RSA makes that separation visible to leadership as a risk signal.

When To Use It
When accreditation, regulatory, or leadership review is approaching.
When leadership needs to understand whether an issue is isolated or evidence of a control problem.
When construction, vendor activity, leadership transition, or program change may be creating exposure.
What It Is Not
Delivery model. RSAs may be conducted remotely across the United States or on-site through the Boston–Northern Virginia corridor when field conditions require direct observation.
Start With The Signal
An RSA is the fastest way to see your real exposure and act on it deliberately — while it's still a finding, not yet a consequence.
